Vital Nutrition Counseling was started by Kimberly Cruz, who is passionate about nutrition and helping people make lifestyle changes on their journey with food. I am a native of Columbia and saw the prevalence of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes in Mississippi. I believe that through nutrition education and guidance, I can change the outcome of Mississippi’s current health crisis, but starting with home-based.

I have 4 years of experience in nutrition counseling. Speciality includes diabetes, chronic kidney disease, the elderly population, nutrition during pregnancy, and, of course, any age range struggling with weight.

ALL SESSIONS ARE HELD ONLINE via ZOOM OR PATIENT PORTAL.

The number of sessions that you schedule is a personal decision and should be specific to your needs. The mission is to meet you where you are and provide the education and tools to change the outcome of your health!

Self-Pay Fees:

• Initial 1-hour visit: $150

• Follow-up 40 minutes: $85

We Accept Insurance!

We do accept insurance to cover nutrition counseling! If you have a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, gestational diabetes, or cardiovascular disease, we WILL need a REFERRAL from your doctor.
